Dear Families,
Welcome to The Learning Factory Preschool Academy. I am so glad that you have decided to check out our Austin preschool! First, let me tell you a little about myself. I was born and raised in the great state of Texas. I grew up in West Texas and moved to Austin several years ago. I have enjoyed Austin for all of its eclectic culture and outdoor activities that it has to offer.I earned a Master's degree in Early Childhood Education from Texas State University in 2009 and earned a Bachelor's degree from the University of Texas in Business Management in 2005. I am a certified elementary teacher and certified in English as a Second Language (ESL). I am a member of Kapa Delta Pi, an international educational honor society that supports teachers with the latest teaching resources. As a certified elementary teacher, I have experience in teaching young children Pre-k through 5th grade. I come from a loving family that believes that a child’s education is extremely important. I grew up surrounded by young children, which inspired my passion for working with young kids. My mom owns and operates her own daycare center and has done so for the past 30 years! This experience allowed me to see what good education and social activities can do for a child’s well being. I am excited to follow in her footsteps by offering parents a fun, safe, and educational environment for their kids. I founded The Learning Factory Preschool Academy because I know firsthand the importance of learning and the need for good quality preschool curriculum. I truly believe that early childhood education is important in developing a love for school and lifelong learners. My teaching philosophy comes from my belief that children learn best when they are actively engaged and have time to reflect on what they learn. Positive feedback and reinforcement are key essentials in children’s learning. I hope all of you check us out, come by and visit our Austin preschool and take a tour!
